All I have been doing is thinking. . .
More thoughts.
1. I want to go home.
2. Who are these people?
3. Anyesha sums it up.
4. There must be a generation of people somewhere who can live perpetually from one wedding to another. If you are distantly enough related to a bunch of people (you are) and have the time to spare (if you are reading this blog, you probably don't have the time). I was doing the math the other day, and calculated you could spend at least 30-40 days in a year attending weddings, if the cards are played right.
5. Anyesha and I have been planning to do our own stuff, after the wedding is over. Happy thoughts. Thoughts of having a life and doing what we want to do.
6. A wedding is like ragging. You do what you are told, and when it is all over, you are inducted into some sort of exclusive club that everyone else already belongs to.
7. Resistance is useless. You will be assimilated. The Marriage Borg.
8. Funny word of the day: Piri. Whatever happens, don't lose the sense of humor.
Anyway, sorry for the negative post. Things aren't really that bad. Got some work done. . .the editor sent changes on one of the manuscripts. . .which is good because it gave me something to do. And for what it's worth, these periods in India do make me yearn to get back to my life in the US (which I might have been growing tired off. . .) so it plays a positive role.
